Saturday, July 18 is the Stockholm Art Fair and we are highlighting our ceramic artist Sheila Marty, from Smarty Earthworks.

Meet Sheila Marty:

Sheila Marty is the artist behind Smarty Earthworks in Monticello, Wisconsin. After many years as a registered nurse, Sheila found her way back to creativity through clay. She says that pottery has become much more than making beautiful things—it has become a way to slow down, connect with people, and create pieces that become part of everyday life. She creates handmade, small-batch pottery including butter crocks, teapots, hummingbird feeders, Zen gardens, planters, luminaries, and other functional pieces. Every piece is made by hand, so no two are exactly alike.

Sheila hopes that her work will bring a little peace, beauty, and joy into your home. Follow her pottery journey on Facebook: Smarty Earthworks, Instagram: @smartyearthworks

Pottery Demos: Sheila will be on the front porch all day Saturday during the art fair doing pottery demonstrations at the top of each hour and will be available in between demonstrations to talk to visitors about her process and answering questions.
